Zoo Boo Excursion-Fancy Nancy Style

Fancy Nancy and the "Extraordinary" Pumpkin
Chicken Little

It's been an exhausting week of illness at the Perez household but things have finally turned around thanks to Nana and Papaw, the weather and Zoo Boo. Nadia has been sick with a fever, runny nose and cough this past week, which means a lot of sleepless nights and long days stuck in the house. However, this weekend we managed to get the girls out when Nana and Papaw offered to take them for the weekend. After a little R and R, an amazing fall day at the zoo and lots of candy, we all seem to be feeling like ourselves again. It's a relief to have our little Nadia back today. Let's hope the rest of us can stay well.
There are other fun pics in our web album.

The Edible Haunted House

This week, we received Halloween cookies and a gingerbread haunted house to build from Oma and Abuelo. We had a messy, delicious, good time decorating the house and eating pieces as we went. Nadia was into icing the little candies and placing them on the house while Sonia mostly ate cookies. Thank you Oma and Abuelo!

The Year of Pumpkins

We made our annual visit with the Prathers to the Stoneycreek Farm Pumpkin Harvest Festival. We always have a great time but this year was even better. There were many additions to the festival that gave the kids much more to do and we had the perfect fall weather, nice and cool. We came back with 1 small pumpkin this time seeing as we grew 2 of our very own, Great Aunt Peggy grew 2 giant pumpkins for the girls, Nana bought 2 pumpkins for decoration, and a friend of ours brought over 2 pumpkins as a gift for the girls. There are additional pics to view in our photo album.

Hot chocolate for everyone!
Jose "wowed" us all by preparing and bringing a thermos bottle full of hot chocolate.

FPCP Field Trip & Fall Festival

Koalas
of Fishers Pointe Cooperative Preschool
Class Field Trip to Potter's Bridge

Yesterday, we enjoyed a very cold (according to my wimpy husband) evening at the FPCP Fall Festival. There was face painting, scavenger hunts, potato sack racing, bean bag toss, "Find the bear", hay rides, and hot dog and marshmallow roasting.

Guffey Acres

Last weekend we visited Guffey Acres in Kokomo with Nana and Papaw. We also met up with the Prathers and Quinnettes. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained (pony ride, train ride, corn box, tube slide, straw mountain and more) but I think the girls enjoyed the pony ride the most. There was a 5 acre corn maze that we were all looking forward too but it was just too muddy. To view more photos please check out the Perez Photo Album.

Monsters Bridge Festival or Potters, Inc

Backtracking, we met up with the Prathers in Downtown Noblesville for the movie Monsters' Inc. Friday night (thanks for this copied photo Amy) and then Saturday morning we headed out to the Potter's Bridge Festival to enjoy the fall weather, music and some free kids' activities. I LOVE OCTOBER (best month of the year)!

First Sleepover or Tatum & Joe + fo(ur)!

There's so much that I want to post on our blog, but because I'm so far behind I'm going to start with the most recent event and then kind of group some of my favorite photos over the past few months . So last night we hosted our first sleepover where we made our own pizzas, watched a movie, ate cinnamon sticks for breakfast and beaded Halloween necklaces. Overall, the kids were great for being so young. Nadia, Camden and Carson slept on the floor in Nadia's room. I had to check on them a couple of times and then finally stay in the room for a few minutes to get them serious about calming down and going to sleep. Once they were able to quiet down they all slept through the night (I assumed I would hear them in the middle of night playing games).
