Kokomo Kristmas

We spent a large chunk of the Holiday weekend in Kokomo celebrating with friends and family. The highlight of the night. hand down, was Mike's foray into Snuggie-ville after our annual White Elephant exchange.
Sonia doesn't know what to think!

The Nutcracker Ballet

Last Thursday, we joined Nadia's preschool class at the Scottish Rite Cathedral for the Nutcracker Ballet. One of her classmate's mother performed in the play. The kids were able to get photos with the cast afterwards. We had a wonderful night going to dinner, to the ballet, and downtown to see the lights. I don't think Jose and I have both been out with just Nadia since Sonia was born. We were a little worried that she wouldn't want to go without Sonia (she typically likes us all to be together as a family) but she was just the opposite. She kind of flaunted the fact that she was going with us and Sonia had to stay because she was too little. I guess we need to make more one-on-one time.

Christmas at the Zoo

We finally made it to see Santa! It was funny because Sonia was too scared to smile at the camera but not enough to cry. Nadia let Santa know that she wanted a castle and dolls and Sonia just nodded yes to whatever it was Santa was asking her. The lights were beautiful and we were lucky enough to enjoy some snow flurries that night while at the zoo.

Polar Express...sort of

We took the girls on the Fishers train for the second yr in a row. This year the story was different because of a copyright infringement issue, but we enjoyed a new story and seeing the girls' expressions as Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the Polar Bear came onboard...it was great.

Hair-ography

The crazy dancing is back!

Look at the expression on her face. What in the world is going through her mind?

Oma-Oma

This is a great photo of the girls with their Great Grandmother, Theresia Meijer. We know her as Oma and the girls call my mother-in-law Oma too, so Theresia is now "Oma-Oma".

Parks & Recreation

We spent a lot of down time at some of the parks down in FL. Here are some pics of the girls being silly.

Animal Kingdom

We had an excellent time at Animal Kingdom today with Oma, Abuelo and Gigi. We were able to use park passes that Jose's parents had bought in the late 80's. How cool is that? There was so much to do, we missed out on a couple of things even though we got started early in the morning.

Nadia got Jiminy Cricket and Rafiki to sign her autograph book. Next stop...Ebay!

Green Thumbs?

We are experimenting to see if Tatum's lack of flower/plant caring ability skipped a generation. Nadia helped Tatum and I plant some bulbs in the front. Check back next spring for the answer.

I also tried to get the girls to sit next to each other for a picture. Needless to say, not an easy task. Maybe that is why I prefer candids. Oh well, we'll try again soon...

Roaaaar! Bonjour! Arghhh! Cluck, Cluck!

We had a wonderful Halloween with the Prathers this year. I even got into the spirit (Nadia made sure that I was a nice witch)...next year my goal is to convince Jose that he should dress up and make it a family affair. The kids sprinted from house to house until their bags were too heavy to carry. Sonia made it to a handful of houses before she decided to take a ride with Cooper in the stroller and eat her candy. Afterwards, we came back to our house for pizza and candy. The kids played together and watched the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown movie while the adults drank some Witch's Brew and played a game of Clue.
