Pumpkin Carving

We gave pumpkin carving a try this year and to no surprise Nadia enjoyed getting her hands dirty. Not only did she enjoy scooping out the insides, she thought that they should be put back into the pumpkin once it was carved.
We're sorry that we're behind on the postings but we've been on "vacation" for the past week. We wanted to include these few photos while it's still Halloween. We'll be gradually posting photos of our trip during the next few days. Happy Halloween!!

A HALLOWEEN MYSTERY...

Indianapolis Zoo Boo
Trick-or-Treating

Nadia just couldn't wait until Halloween to start celebrating, so we headed out to the Indianapolis Zoo for a little premature trick-or-treating. We had a lot of fun and Nana and Papaw were there to help. The zoo was decorated for Halloween, they had pumpkin bowling, a hay maze, music and lots of little ones running around in costumes. Nadia was even able to collect some candy which all of us got to enjoy for her. Nadia was really into all the animals but she especially enjoyed the "Oceans" where there was shark petting, jelly fish and silly penguins.

Stoney Creek Farm
Pumpkin Patch
This was Nadia's second year visiting the Stoney Creek Farm Pumpkin Patch. We went with the Prather family which was a lot of fun. Nadia and Carson rode in the pumpkin train together like boyfriend and girlfriend...what a cute couple. They also rode horses and took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch to pick out their very own pumpkins.

6 Bathtub Hairdos

Baby Doll
Nadia, has found a new use for her pack-n-play. Forget her baby dolls, she is the baby doll. Nadia loves to climb in and out of the pack-n-play and just lounge around in it.
The Perez Daycare
I'm sure most of you know this but starting this month I babysit Eli twice a week and three times every fourth week of the month. We have a link to Eli's family's blog listed if you haven't already visited under "Keebs." Anyway, Eli typically comes over Monday and Tuesday. Nadia loves having the extra company every week. Above, the kids are having fun going through my magazines.

Forget the Crib!

Every morning when Nadia wakes she hangs out with Mommy and Daddy, in bed, with the "Wiggles" on TV. We love this playful time of Nadia's. However, on this particular morning Mommy and Daddy were up and out of bed before Nadia woke from her own crib but she still insisted on having her morning milk in our bed under the covers (and we thought she liked being in our bed because of us). She played in our bed until her milk was finally gone and then she was off playing with her toys.
Nadia spent the night with Nana and Papaw this past weekend so we could start prepping the guest room for the baby and Papaw helped us with a few repairs around the house. When we arrived at Nana and Papaw's on Sunday we found that Nadia had received a new pack-n-play for her baby dolls to go along with her baby stroller. Although not pictured above, Nadia has learned to put her finger over her mouth and say, "shh," when she puts the babies down to sleep. I can't say it enough, Nadia is all girl.

Cincinnati Road Trip
This is Will, Patty and Mitch's little boy who is so cute, loves to smile and has the best 2 dimples you can find.
Will is a very curious boy. Here he's going to get that toy at the bottom of the basket at any cost!
So we learned that Will enjoys a tummy rub before going down for his nap (at least on the weekends when Mitch is home). He lays on the blanket above, on his back, while Mitch gently rubs his belly and Will quietly closes his eyes and goes to sleep. This is much like what you see with Alligators on the Animal Planet:) Well, after Will went up for his nap Nadia decided to give the blanket a try too and seemed to find it quite comfy. The Troll obsession... Nadia's favorite toy at the Carson's were the troll dolls that Patty has had since she was a child.

This past weekend the Perez family headed off to Cincy to visit our good friends Patty, Mitch and Will. We got off to a rough/late start from Noblesville and when we arrived in Cincy we realized Nadia (who didn't sleep during the 2 hour drive) had a leaky, very wet diaper and skirt. However, despite all this we had a great time visiting with the Carson's. Patty washed Nadia's skirt for us and Mitch entertained the kids by pulling them around in a little brown basket above. The kids got along very well and we have to say that Will is growing up so fast and we miss seeing it. Oh and for those of you who aren't aware, Patty and Mitch are expecting their second child one week before us (March 6).
