Summer Catchup

So its only been a little over one week since the official start of summer, but we have been in full on verano mode since early June. We haven't been able to blog about everything, so we have some random pics from the last month.

Nadia is starting to look like a little adult...already?!
Geraldine is staying with us for a month this summer. Here she is in typical mid-morning form =)

My cousin Cristy, her husband Tyler and their dog Bovie stayed with us one night as they moved from KC to Cleveland. We had fun catching up with them as we haven't seen them since their wedding almost 4 years ago.

Monday Night Baseball

We decided to go downtown and take the girls to their first professional baseball game last Monday evening. We were lucky enough to have amazing weather and had a great time sitting in the lawn area just beyond right field. The Indians lost, but that didn't stop us from enjoying $1 hot dogs and mounds of cotton candy.

The food really was the best...

Thanks G for taking our picture

Nadia couldn't believe that the Indians stranded a runner at third in the 8th inning!

Rainy Zoo Afternoon

We all headed to the zoo last week on a rainy Wednesday afternoon. Even though we were soaked by the end of the day, it was nice to walk around without crowds and see the animals enjoy getting wet.

Almost Groupies...

Friday night was our third Coldplay concert, would we go again? You betcha! Coldplay knows how to put on a show! What a great night and Snow Patrol was there too!

Strawberry Swing

This past Friday the girls and I were able to experience a little strawberry picking at Spencer Farm here in Noblesville. It was so much fun that we're hoping to do some blueberry picking next month. The only problem was that while Nadia and I were searching for red, ripe strawberries to pick, Sonia was busy making strawberry jam out of them. By the time we were through, Sonia's face and hands were a mess!

Traders Point Creamery

Just prior to taking this photo the rooster above pecked the bottom of my shoe! I'm thankful it was my shoe and not my leg.

We joined a few friends last week and toured the Traders Point Creamery in Zionsville where the cows are 100% grass-fed. After the tour and a picnic lunch we treated ourselves to some organic ice cream, thus the chocolate mustache that Nadia has grown in the above photo.
