It's Boppy & Bumbo Time!

When you have a toddler running around you start to feel bad for the little one who mostly sees the world from one angle so we've been experimenting with tummy time on the Boppy and sitting up in the Bumbo.

I'm Just a Girl...

Again, Nadia and the purse... It was one thing to see her with the purse on the slide but to feed the geese too??? You know how a woman's purse seems to get larger with their age? We're really concerned that Nadia may be starting too early and therefore she could be sporting a suitcase by high school.

7 Weeks Old

Sonia is doing very well. We are enjoying our family of four and now that Sonia's smiling and cooing we just can't get enough of her. Sonia's growing so fast though, she's already wearing 3 month clothing! Well, Nadia is with Nana and Papaw this weekend so Jose and I are giving all of our attention to sweet Sonia so we hope to have more photos of her posted today/tomorrow. We're going to try to capture her beautiful, toothless smile.

The girls and I visited some friends of ours in Kokomo on Thursday. We had a nice time hanging out, catching up and having lunch. We hope to have more playdates in the future.

Backyard Fun

Nana, Papaw, Jose and I bought an early Birthday present for Nadia this year so that she can enjoy it now that the weather is nice. She loves her new outdoor climber but as you can see from the first photo, you can't take the girl out of her... not even a little. The other photo was taken to capture that awesome hair (what a fro)! Oh, and that's not drool on her chin-Nadia has a mouth full of grapes that are just a little juicy.

ABC'S...kind of

So here is Nadia showing off her ABC skills. Clearly the letter E is the most predominant letter in her alphabet. Her new thing is to sing to herself... a little Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star here, a little Pattycake there. Knowing how terrible our voices are, we definitely are enjoying this while it lasts.

Monkey Business

This would be a lot easier if I was really a monkey. The things you do as a mother to make everyone happy...

Sonia Marie Meets Morgan Elizabeth

We had a great time in Trenton, OH on Saturday visiting with the Carson's. We miss them very much so it was nice getting together and watching Will and Nadia play while Patty and I shared baby stories. There are more photos posted in our web album so please enjoy.

Un Mes

Our little Sonia has made it (and passed) her one month anniversary. We still think the she resembles quite closely her older sister; we're always comparing her with Nadia's baby photos to pick out their small differences.
As far as the Dr's visit, Sonia checked in at 9lbs 3oz and 21 3/4 inches. For anyone that is curious, Nadia's one month stats were 9lbs and 21 1/2 inches.

Nadia can now play a little game of golf with Papi or travel like the Flintstones in her Dora car this spring.

Spring is here!

Spring is finally here...after what seemed like an interminable winter, we can finally go outside and play. Since it was so nice here in Noblesville today we decided to get the girls out and about. Nadia walked around the block a couple of times and really enjoyed playing on the neighborhood playground. She swung on the swing, rode on a bouncy turtle, and especially enjoyed going down the slides. We just wish that the weather were like this year round! Please see our photo album for more pics-you'll even see Tatum and I having a little fun at the park too.

Proud Big Sister

We're sorry that we have been unable to keep up on our blog like we used to but now that I'm typically sleeping when the girls are napping, Nadia's bedtime is at 8:30 pm and Jose and I head to bed shortly after-there's just not a lot of time to keep up. I also hate to admit that the amount of photos taken has dwindled too but I'm still just learning to juggle both girls and chores. Once we have that down our blog posting should pick up again.
So one of the highlights of having children is the crazy/funny stories that you get to share with others (I mean really, what did we ever talk about before kids???). Well, a few days ago, Kari and I decided that Nadia and Eli needed a play date. Everything was going well until Nadia fell off a kitchen chair just as we were ready to have lunch. Nadia cried for about 30 minutes straight (Nadia tends to vomit when she cries too much so of course she got sick) and I was worried that she was hurting somewhere and couldn't tell us. Well, of course you can't have one crying child. Sonia then started crying because it was feeding time so the next thing I know I'm sitting on the couch, feeding Sonia while Nadia was laying on my lap crying (what a sight!). By the time we left our play date, Kari and Nadia were covered in vomit and I had milk all down my shirt. I think Eli was the only one who kept cool and managed to stay clean. However, I'm proud to say that the next day went a lot smoother and I was able to cook dinner and have it ready by the time Jose got home from work. One day at a time...
