What a week...

Brea and Pete were in town all the way from Seattle, Jose was off from work the entire week (Nana and Papaw took some time off too) and little Cooper finally arrived. I think the girls and I are going to feel a little alone and sad tomorrow after having so much company around. We managed to cram as much as we could into one week...good quality time with my sister (who I miss) and Pete, the Children's Museum, an early Thanksgiving with my Dad's side of the family, and a trip to the hospital to see the adorable Cooper Ashton Prather.

hi!

Hi, my name is Sonia and I woke up today at 5 in the morning. Doesn't everyone wake up at that time on the weekend?

Weekend Update

After much thought, we have decided to give you weekend updates rather than try to post daily. Therefore, we are asking that you please check back with us each weekend to find out what we've been up to...
TUESDAY:
This past week Jose had Veteran's Day off so we ended up at Bounce Planet, a first for us. Our intentions were to wear Nadia out but I think Jose and I were the ones that came home exhausted...time to get back into shape!
SATURDAY:
This weekend was busy yet rejuvenating for Jose and I. On Saturday, we headed to Kokomo for our date night. We had a nice quiet dinner and then Nadia stayed all night with Nana and Papaw and Sonia (who will not take a bottle) came home with us. Apparently, Nadia and Sonia had lots of fun and laughs with the ride-on toy at Nana and Papaw's. In the photo below, Sonia was actually the one doing all the pushing. Nadia has her little sis just where she wants her. SUNDAY:
Jose worked a few hours for Huntington Bank at Lucas Oil Stadium prior to the game. The tradeoff? Two, 3rd row tickets at the game!!! How awesome is that?!? What a day! Not only did we have great seats but the Colts pulled off a win. Go Colts! Thanks to Nana and Papaw (again) for watching the girls and giving us a day to ourselves. Another perk to the day...while Jose worked before the game, I melted into a leather chair at a little coffee shop in Circle Center Mall, enjoyed a "Wake Me Up" Mocha & Caramel Latte, a book and was at peace for a couple of hours.

Sister & Friend

The girls are playing together more and more each day.
Sonia loves to be chased. In fact, she thinks that if anyone is following her (including the dog) it's a game of chase and she's off laughing and squealing to get away. Nadia loves having Sonia to play with and almost always wants to include her unless it involves sharing her dolls. However, Nadia doesn't quite understand that Sonia cannot do everything that she does.

Baby Steps aka The Wild One

Sonia's been very busy trying to keep up with her big sister...having an older sibling really has made a difference in the speed of her development. While we're excited for Sonia's new mobility we're also terrified that it will bring many more accidents with bumps, bruises and tears (hopefully all which will be blood/ER free).

Obsession

As you can see, Nadia is obsessed as of late with lining her dolls up in a row. Is this normal? She will pretty much line anything up...crayons, letters, blocks, you name it. Looks like we have a mini-Tatum on our hands. Everything is always organized to her liking. By the way, what is going on with her expression in the last picture? Combine it with the M&M residue on her face and presto...you've achieved the "homeless toddler look". Make it work!

Clap your Hands!

I'm not sure what Sonia's clapping about here...could it be the green beans I was feeding her at the time? Nah...

Goodbye Halloween & Hello Thanksgiving!

This was Nadia's first year trick-or-treating around the neighborhood and she was loving it! At every house she had to explain that she's a banana ("nana") and Sonia's a monkey and then she would make her monkey sound. Every house heard the story...even if they didn't ask. Nadia, Sonia and I headed out around 6:30 p.m., Jose joined us at 7 p.m. when he arrived home and we finished at 8 p.m. It was just as much fun for Jose and I...maybe we'll dress up next year? We're sad to say that all the Halloween decorations came down today but now we're looking forward to a lot of turkey and pumpkin pie! While I was putting away our decorations Nadia and Sonia found a couple of wigs of ours. Yes, Sonia (cousin IT) is there...somewhere...under all that hair.
