Memorial Day Weekend at Nana and Papaw's

Holliday Park

This past Tuesday we took the girls to Holiday Park to picnic, hike and play. We had never been there before and left quite impressed with the facilities that they have. They have some great little hiking trails which Nadia led us on and a little nature center to learn all about the animals in the area. Highly recommend it!

Our Very Own Tinkerbell

I think we're going to have to seriously consider dance class for Nadia. Recently we set up an old CD player of ours so that Nadia can play her own music whenever she feels like it, and she now has a daily dance session. Recently Nana and Papaw gave her the Tinkerbell soundtrack. So the other day she dressed up in her Tinkerbell outfit and performed a rather amusing show for Sonia and me...so sweet, our little Nadia.

Slumber Party

We purchased a sleeping bag for Nadia to use during our stay in Michigan a few weekends ago but didn't end up using it so our weekly movie night also became a little Perez slumber party here at the house. Jose lasted all of ten minutes before he was on the couch and I made it through the night but joined Jose on the couch in the early morning.We asked Nadia why she ended up on the floor outside of her sleeping bag and she explained that it was too hot. I wish I had known because I was freezing the entire night.

A Little Help

Kokomo Circus Day

Last Wednesday Nana took the girls and I to the Kelly Miller Circus in Kokomo and we had a blast! We watched the circus up close inside a tent, it was pretty amazing and entertaining. I would have to say that I prefer the old fashioned tent circus to seeing it at a huge coliseum any day.

Last weekend we took a road trip up north for Titi Gigi's graduation ceremony for her MBA from the University of Michigan. The trip went smoothly for the most part, but it might be awhile before we venture with the girls on another 4hr plus road trip.
