BOO!!!

It's a ghost...

No, it's just Nadia practicing for Halloween in Mommy's fleece jacket. That's our girl...it's never too early in the Perez household to jump start the Holidays (especially Halloween and Christmas).

I know, Nadia in the pool again?!? What can we say, it's a HOT summer! Nadia got a break from all the boys when her friend, Bella, came over for a visit.

Lombardi Trophy

Last Saturday we had our photo taken with the NFL Super Bowl Trophy at the Symphony on the Prairie (if you've never been to the prairie for one of their concerts you must go). Huntington Bank is now the bank of the Colts and as part of their promotional advertisement you could have a free photo taken with the trophy. You can see how truly excited Jose was about this opportunity (especially in the photo below). See his hand on the trophy?. Nadia and I on the otherhand...we just don't get it.

A Visit from Oma and Abuelo

Hooray!!!

Oma and Abuelo were able to drive from Michigan to see Nadia this past Sunday and spend the night at our house. Although the visit was too short, we had a great time watching Nadia put on quite a cheerful and silly performance for Oma and Abuelo their entire stay.

While just about everything you get is fried at the fair, we do not encourage the deep fried candy bars, oreos or peanut butter cups. However, the funnel cake above was delicious! Much worth the visit.

Just a thought...

Nadia woke at 4:45 AM the other morning, clearly not feeling well. Often the ritual is that Mommy must hold her and comfort her during these times of sickness. Although I'm tired and sleep is needed, I know that she is growing so fast and these precious moments of holding her so close will to someday pass. So rather than getting upset, I seize the moment and hold her tight.

It's been Confirmed

We had our first ultrasound today for baby #2.

Our little peanut is just a quarter of an inch. We are now 8 weeks pregnant, thus making the official due date March 13, 2008.

This gives us 7 months to teach Nadia a little patience and the art of sharing.
