Post-Walk Celebration with Team Sesenta for Lijs after their 60 mile trek through Minneapolis and St.Paul. (Starting Left: Michelle Gezo, Geraldine Perez, Tatum Perez, Hans Meijer) I can't tell you how proud of them I am of them for participating in this event. They encountered blisters, heat rash, achy feet and 90 degree heat, but made it all the way through! The team raised over $17,500!! They all said that it was the toughest thing they've ever had to do, but what a way to bring awareness and fund-raising for this horrible disease. By the way, the signs are courtesy of Alexia and Lia (Hans' wife and daughter), Nadia and Sonia.

Here is a pic of Team Sesenta For Lijs at the end of day one of the 3-Day Walk for the Cure. It has been a rough go for them, but I can't tell you how awesome they have all done. Their feet are all battered and bruised, and according to Tatum it has been the "most mentally and physically challenging thing she's ever done." But they are almost done. Tomorrow at 4:00pm they will have completed their 60th mile. They are definitely walking for a purpose and have raised almost $17,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. I'm so proud of Geraldine for coordinating and leading the team, and of her teammates Tatum, Hans and Michelle.

Mid Life Crisis

Since I'm almost in my mid 30's I decided to go out and get some new wheels. I know...pretty sweet.
