Billy Joel @ Conner Prairie...

...kind of, at least there was the music of Billy Joel along with some Elton John classics. Last Friday we invited Nana and Papaw and made our annual visit to hear the Symphony on the Prairie. It's one of my favorite summer outings. We enjoyed food, wine, music, and a little front stage dancing with the girls.

Last week Nadia's BFF came over to hang out for the day. Nadia's at that point where she's a little bored with Sonia and I so having a little friend around really helps. Anyway, they were all doing so well that I decided to treat them to a Dairy Queen Starkiss. The bibs didn't do their job in this case and the deck was sprayed with red splotches but they couldn't be happier.

Happy Weekend!

The girls spent 2 nights at Nana and Papaw's this past weekend and it was a win, win all around (just look at the photos below). As for Jose and I, we did the usual dinner and movie and just relaxed and I mean truly relaxed...it felt like a much needed vacation. However, on Sunday we got physical and by physical I mean riding our bikes 12 miles. We were out an hour on our bikes enjoying the beautiful day. Thanks Mom and Dad for a terrific weekend, we're so blessed!

Fair Time

We made a couple of trips to the Howard County 4-H Fair (a.k.a. Greentown Fair) last week. This was my old hangout growing up so it was fun taking the girls. The girls rode the boat ride (Nadia's favorite part of the fair), watched the rabbit contest, listened to Phil Dirt & the Dozers with Nana, Papaw and the Prathers, and mostly ate way too much food/junk.

Nadia's P.I.C. (Partner in Crime) turned three over the weekend. it goes without saying that they are best friends. We celebrated at the Prather's house with Dinosaur cake, water balloons and lots of sunshine.

We happened to give Nadia her 1st camera as one of her presents for her birthday. She claims that is is her favorite gift, and she has taken over 1,000 pictures since getting it over the weekend. Here a a few shots she has taken since then.

Zoo 2.0...Cincinnati Style

So we've been to the two different zoos in the last couple of weeks. It was definitely nice to see what different animals each one had. I think that my favorite exhibit in Cincy was the gorillas. Look at this guy...it looks like he wants to eat me for lunch!
