Chitty Chitty Bang Bangs

Sonia has been running into everything around the house with her hair hanging down to her nose... the poor girl just couldn't see where she's going. We've tried clips, bows and rubber bands in her hair but as soon as she notices she's pulling it out. So a couple of days ago I finally took the scissors and gave her bangs. Some day when she's old enough to leave her bows alone we will let the bangs grow out again but for now we'll just enjoy seeing those big, beautiful brown eyes.

First accident of the outdoor season. Yesterday, Sonia and I were chasing Nadia down the sidewalk while Nadia was pushing her bubble mower. Well, Nadia got too excited and turned to look at us...the next thing I know she's all wrapped up in her lawn mower and taking a rolling fall to the ground. It was ugly but only a few tears were shed...she took it like a champ.

Sonia and I had our last swim class this week. We're sad that it's over but at least summer is around the corner and we'll be back in the water soon.

Nadia, Jose and I had fun staying up late last Friday for some egg coloring and decorating. Nadia was disgusted by the egg smell but she enjoyed getting creative with the dye, stickers and glitter non-the less. Above-Jose's Egg

Sonia's 1st Sleepover

Nadia and Sonia spent the weekend at Nana and Papaw's and we were glad to hear that everything went smoothly. A HUGE thank you to Nana and Papaw for our mini vaca!

Not only was it a big weekend for Sonia with her 1st sleepover but Nadia can finally reach the pedals and ride her bike all by herself. Oh how I plan on using this new found ability to wear her out by circling the block a few times.

Where's the Eggs?

We have had 3 egg hunts in the past 4 days with only 1 being successful in actually gathering eggs. Today we attended the Forest Park Egg Hunt where we had pancakes with Nana and Papaw and sat on the Easter Bunny's lap (except for Sonia-she wasn't too crazy about that big furry thing with the huge ears).

Poor Nadia...

Easter bunny scary? Nah.

Lots of screaming kids running around for eggs? Absolutely!
