Ain't She Sweet

Sonia's changing so much these days and just too quickly. She's so much fun! Sonia's starting to sit pretty well with a little support and the other day she fed herself with her bottle. It might have been a fluke but Nadia held her bottle early so maybe Sonia's already catching on. Sonia is very talkative and currently sounds like a monkey. We will try to capture this on video to better explain.

La La La

Nadia showcases her lullaby talent as she gets Sonia ready for bed. Unfortunately she seems to have inherited Jose's singing voice.

Swim, Swam, Swum

We have found a way to beat the summer heat...water, lots of water. Jose had last Thursday off so we took the girls to the Forest Park Aquatic Center for the first time this summer. On Friday, I headed to the Benziger's to visit with my high school friends/college roommates, Patty and Amy, along with our moms. Not only did the kids have a blast but we got to enjoy catching up and some swim time too. Over the weekend, Jose and I headed to my mom and dad's for our date night. Then on Sunday, we were back in the water at my parents' neighbor's pool. Nadia and Sonia both love the water...maybe we have little future swimmers on our hands (I sure hope so).

Random Photo Posting

I was trying to post everything that has gone on this last week but found it impossible. So here are some things from this week and other random photos that we never posted that deserve a spot on the blog. First of all, my sister has been gone since last Tuesday but we rarely get photos of the two of us together so I'm posting this one. The girls were not into having their photo taken of course. The pictures below are just some cute ones of Sonia and then Nadia in her new rain boots and on the tire horse swing at Nana and Papaw's. It was Carson's 2nd Birthday last Sunday, we had a great time at his Birthday party. We are feeding Sonia rice cereal now but she's not enjoying it much (the smile in the photo is for her sister, not the food) so we're taking it slow. We'll let you know how the future feedings go. Over the weekend I will try to post photos of Nadia at the Forest Park Aquatic Center and our pool day at the Benziger's.

4 Month Well Visit

Sonia received her second set of shots last week and is doing well. She also completed her 4 month right of passage as a girl here at the Perez household-ear piercing. The earrings are hard to see in this photo but they are her birthstone-aquamarine.

Mini-me

Nadia may be a little too young to ask any questions concerning Sonia's feedings but she clearly understands and enjoys mimicking me.
